Baking Pan Size Conversion Chart and Guide

Use the right pan size every time. Convert between round, square, and rectangular pans with this comprehensive guide.

Adjusting Recipes

When changing pan sizes, adjust baking time:

  • Larger pan: Reduce time by 5-10 minutes and check early.
  • Smaller pan: Increase time by 5-10 minutes. Cover with foil if top browns too fast.
  • Doubling a recipe for a larger pan: Increase baking time by about 25%.

How to Measure Your Pan

Measure the inside dimensions from edge to edge, not including the rim. Measure depth from the inside bottom to the top of the rim.
